Hello from HK and Vietnam!

Hello!

Wow wow wow what a holiday so far! To the Dibber who is coming out to Hong Kong in a few days, i apologise i have forgotten your user name, but oh my get excited! its absolutely unbelievably amazing! Try an egg waffle off one of the street food carts, its beautiful, my favourite food so far

We arrived in HK last saturday and the weather was amazing! Just perfect temps and the place, wow! Loved it. Loved the food, the people, everything. We only had a couple of days there so just went around sightseeing on the MTR. Which we bought an oyster card for. We are going back to HK in 4 days for the last part of our trip before we fly home to see the main man himself which i literally cant wait to do.

We are currently in Da Nang, Vietnam which is such an experience, I honestly didnt like it for the first 24hrs it was just so crazy, noisy, smelly, but i have fallen in love with the place, its about 37/40 degrees at the moment and doesn't drop below 30 degrees at night its just so hot all the time. We sat on the beach last night trying to get cool and all the locals are out in coats

Anyways enough rambling, off to Hoi An now for 4 days, I cant wait to see all of the lanterns, ill try and upload some piccys soon.

Well, certainly hotter than it is here in the U.K. at the moment. We'll be lucky if we reach 59F (15C) here this weekend. Good to hear you are having a great time. You know a trip report will be expected!

HK is one of my favourite-ever places. Amid the high-rise and high-tech there's the tiny traditional shops, restaurants and markets down narrow side streets.

Enjoy Hoi An - we love it, having been twice. Very chic French colonial. Great bars and restaurants.

Glad you are having a great time. Our son teaches in Hoi Chi Minh and he loves it there, been there 2 years now. He still finds the constant heat a novelty after living in Wales all his life.
He sends me photos in the winter of himself sitting by his swimming pool 😀
