OLD KEY WEST and water taxi to Disney Springs

Hi there considering doing a short stay here and taking advantage of the water taxi transportation so we can have a few drinks without the worry of driving, please can anyone who has stayed in a two bedroom suite or has used the water taxi service share your views and experiences of them to help me decide if this would work for us,many thanks

We stayed in a 2 bed villa last year and it was fantastic. We'd previously stayed in a studio just 2 of us but with 4 adults it was cheaper for a 2 bed villa than 2 studios. The space was amazing and having a full kitchen and laundry just so convenient. We had an amazing view having asked for a canal view.
We've used the boat a few times. It's a nice relaxed trip taking 20 mins or so.

We stayed at SSR a few years ago and used the boat a couple of times. It is nice and relaxing but if you have an adr and don't have much time it id quicker to use the bus. We had left about 50 minutes before our adr at Trex and the boat took about 25 minutes to arrive to arrive (a couple were down) and it chugs along at a very slow pace. It docked at Westside and we had to peg it to Trex and turned up 5 minutes late a very hot and sweaty mess only to find we had to wait a while anyway. It is lovely at the end of the evening coming back when you have no rush but does not run if there is the threat of a storm.

Having stayed at OKW a few times now - we love it!

We have had the one bed villa and its ace - very spacious.

Yes the water taxi is so lovely and the best way to get to the Springs!

OKW is a fantastic resort. Perfect for families looking for some extra space. It's so good having the laundry.

Used the Water Taxi a few times. Sometimes it's quite busy and you have to wait for the next one coming back but apart from that highly recommend it.

We've stayed at OKW and used the water taxis and I'd echo others comments that it's a nice way to travel. But be aware that in August they won't run if there's a storm, and on several occasions they couldn't run after heavy rainfall since the water level was too high for them to pass under the bridges.

We just stayed at OKW and realy enjoyed it, it's a loveky resort.

We used the water taxi a couple of times, its fine and a nice thing to do but the bus is quicker and cooler!

I honestly cannot fault OKW. We stayed in a 1 bed. Our kids were 4, 2, 10 months. The 2 eldest stayed in the couch bed, 10 month old in a cot. The bed in the bedroom was massive. We were all able to lie on it early mornings.
With our kids loving T Rex & Rainforest Cafe & of course the Disney Store, we used the taxi boat alot. Each time so so relaxing. The kids loved it. It was such a lovely breeze on those extra hot days.

We've stayed in a 2 bed at OKW twice now and used the water taxi many times to DS.

The resort is fab and plenty of space in the rooms. Loved using the water taxi - we've never used the bus to/from DS!
