If you could stay at any Vegas hotel, which would it be? Update - booked!
I ask because my boyfriend and I are planning to go to Vegas in August, and due to some fairly good fortune financially, we are relatively open to any hotel (though not crazy suites or anything like that!)
We went to the Mirage last year and I can't believe we'll enjoy any hotel more than we did that one. I loved the lush tropical decor, the large attractive pool, the restaurants (California Pizza, The Pantry) and Rhumbar, the bar on the terrace. I also loved the location, being close to quick service places like Panda Express, Cinnabon, and to Caesar's Palace, Bellagio and Paris, all hotels that we enjoy visiting. I prefer the North end of the strip, though to be fair, we didn't spend more than one day around the South side, so that may just be a preference for familiarity. So of course we wanted to stay there again, but I also feel that there are so many amazing hotels in Vegas it seems a shame to go back to the same place? I am looking for a better room with a big bath - so thought of the Venetian, where the rooms are gorgeous, but it felt a little too upscale for us when we visited. We also spend a lot of time in the pool going in the summer, so then I considered MGM Grand where the pool looks incredible, but I am a little concerned about the size - we never got chance to take a look around the MGM last year. DBF is also concerned it may attract a rowdier crowd than the Mirage - we love a few cocktails and an atmospheric bar but we're more interested in attractions and gambling than we are partying hard. Basically all the hotels in Vegas look incredible for different reasons, it's just so hard to make a decision! So just wondering, if you could choose any hotel without money being a factor, where would you stay and why? Edited at 07:16 PM. |

We absolutely loved our five night stay at the Venetian - it did not feel at all "too upscale" for us. We aren't at all posh, honestly! We scored it for $80 / night through Hotwire - August stay, like you
Also stayed at the Signature (loved our one bed massive suite), Mandalay Bay (fabulous pool and theme), Vdara (don't know why but it just didn't float my boat). Venetian was definitely my favourite though.

Bellagio for me. We loved it so much on our first time trip in October that we have changed our californian road trip this August so we can squeeze a few days at the end in the Bellagio. I have to say I loved the Bellagio more than I loved Vegas Pool area is also fantastic, although I'm guessing at peak times it will be very busy like most hotels.

Loved the bellagio, we had a fountain view room at the time and it was amazing. But since we have stayed twice at the palazzo and it's just fantastic. The rooms are amazing and it's not too upscale at all! We are not that type of person.
I just feel it's a bit better than the bellagio. My brother has stayed at wynn and the photos of his room were fab. He said it was an amazing hotel, they had a suite right enough, which gave them a separate pool etc... ( got a great price at the time) |

Venetian would be the one for me..
Not stayed there or the Bellagio/Wynn etc but I've been in all many times and I much prefer the vibe of the Venetian. The Venetian also has a good food court offering the same type of places that the Mirage has. |

Cosmopolitan for me. We were lucky enough to stay there last year and it was amazing. Very bling and has a cool young vibe about it which we loved. We had a fountain view room, amazing.
Money no object I'd book a wraparound terrace suite there. We've stayed in Ceasars too which was lovely, but Cosmo tops it by far. Bellagio doesn't do it for me,had an older clientele in the casino and a stuffy feel we found. At 3am when we wanted to party we left the bellagio as it lacked atmosphere and headed back to the Cosmo where it was jumping, great party vibe which is what we want in Vegas

Venetian without a doubt. I dont feel its too upscale at all and we are very down to earth people. Think as another poster said the Cosmo has a younger vibe. Would just love to stay in the Venetian.
