Anyone ever stayed here? I tried to get the Disneyland hotel using my DVC points for a stay Oct 23-27, but it was not available.
I didn't have a choice, this was all that was open at just shy of 6 months out. (note this is for DVC inventory, I don't think that necessarily means the hotels are all booked, but you never know...)

Has anyone ever stayed there and can give me an idea of how the stay was? Busses to the parks ok? Can you walk to the parks? What about the monorail? I realize you don't get the free monorail pass at this hotel.

Did you buy your park tickets when you got to the hotel for the early entry and park hopping?

I haven't stayed there but can help with a couple of questions.
Location is fantastic, no more than a 10 min walk to either Disney Sea or Disney Land and also only 5 mins walk to Ikspiari, plenty of places to eat in Ikspiari, Disney Store and a supermarket that's open until I'm sure 11pm but could have been 10, great for drinks, snacks, sandwiches etc.
You wouldn't really need to bother with the busses except maybe for the novelty factor lol, they are pretty cool. The same goes for the monorail unless you planned on park hopping on day 3 or 4.
The busses and monorail are extremely efficient as is all transport in Japan.
We used the airport limousine and to and from the airport and they apologised profusely because it was 2 minutes late due to traffic lol

Park tickets are easy to buy before you go or at the hotel, only downside if printing at home before you go is the print out is literally your ticket so you don't get a nice real one as a souvenir

I have stayed there. It's a lovely hotel done in a blue and white art deco style. It has a fabulous Chef Mickey restaurant which is great for breakfast but there is also the Empire Grill which continues the Art Deco style - Italian, Mexican and Asian flavours, Hana - This is the only Disney hotel restaurant that offers authentic Kaiseki and Teppan-yaki. Breakfast is served buffet-style. There is also the Tick Tock diner - a deli style place and not forgetting the Lounge Lobby which all serves all day - look for the Hidden Donald in the huge mirrors. The outdoor pool offers a relaxing time with pleasing light and gentle breezes. The graceful palm trees and the blue and white cabanas heighten the resort-like feeling. NOTE: Tattoos are a no no so if you have any you will have to wear a T shirt whilst swimming.

As already mentioned, you can get to both parks quite easily as the Ambassador is roughly half way between the two and there is a regular shuttle service to both parks. If going to the Disneyland park try walking through Ikspiari shopping centre to get there.

You can read more about the room we had here:

https://DIBB.in/8972631

Tickets - buy at front desk as you will not be restricted by the "choose your park" for today rules. You'll get park hopping. You also get VIP vouchers which allow you in 15 minutes before the main crowd which gives you a chance to get on things before the throng arrive. Note the resort monorail charges for any ride you make on it (you can get multi day tickets) as it is regarded as a public transport system outside the parks.

Thanks! Geoff, I sent a link to your trippies to Sloane so she can see it. She's headed to Spain and Portugal later this week (she lives in San Francisco).

We are booked in a Donald Duck room at this hotel for a Monday check in/Friday check out. I felt it would be smart to stay here during the week when it is (hopefully) less crowded. We are heading for Kyoto for the weekend before I return home Oct 30 and little sis stays in Japan for Halloween.

I think Jesse (the OP) has booked via her DVC points rather than direct.

You should be able to reserve a room easily here:

disneyhotels.jp/en/reserve/index.html

but if you want more than two nights you have to call.
Tokyo are 8 hours ahead of us.
