California special memory
Only a few weeks to go for us now and I am sure we will make our own memories, but I just wanted to ask people what their most vivid, happy memory of somewhere in California is and why.
It might be one of the more obvious places, or maybe somewhere off the beaten track that you might otherwise miss. Thanks.

Visiting the Griffith Observatory and following the hiking path (only the short one
 ) - it was a lovely sunny day and the hike was unplanned. For some strange reason that has become the location I day dream about...

I know what you mean. We did a tour in New England and the guide showed us some wild blueberries and cranberries which we tried. Etched in the memory.

Every second we spent in Yosemite would be mine, hiking the trails and then relaxing in the hot tubs keeping a look out for bears! What an incredible place it is.

Has to be the drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. Just beautiful.
Such a shame it's closed at the moment. We were in California a couple of weeks ago, and local radio reported that huges stretches of it had gone 'back to nature' with sightings of mountain lions and other such wildlife just walking along it... Edited at 10:35 AM. Reason: oops |

Watching the most spectacular sunset at Laguna Beach in March.
It's made me plan a California road trip for 2019 (when hopefully PCH will be in a better state!). |
