I'm going to attempt one - though no a pro like many others - but I do want to document our trip for ourselves as it is unlikely to be repeated in the near future...

Thanks you, and yes the theming looks amazing doesn't it? The long queues look a bit scary though... :-). Enjoy your planning!

We leave for Shanghai and Tokyo in October - going for my milestone birthday. Trying to apply for a Chinese visa right now, as we are going to the Great Wall area for a couple of days.

I may be asking Kevin some Japan train questions in the near future, as we are going to Tokyo for a night before moving on to Disney's Ambassador Hotel, then to Kyoto for the weekend (we know better than to be at TDR for the weekend) before returning to the US.

We are here now

We are in Tokyo Disneyland now. We've done one day in each park so far and now on our second day in Disneyland. The theming in DisneySea is incredible, it's an amazing park. Not many English speaking visitors here but it's easy to get by - many of the signs and menus have English on them. Crowds are insane - especially for DisneySea. Everyone comes to the parks early here, they queue to get in well before an hour before park opens. Single rider on the few rides it operates works brilliantly as no one here does it. You can walk on single rider when there is a 90 min standby line. Anyway we are having a brilliant time and would recommend it to anyone.

Great from what I have seen so far, but we are doing Disney first so we've not seen much else yet. Tomorrow we move to Central Tokyo to see what else is on offer. The people seem amazingly friendly and helpful so far. I love how organised everything is :-)
