Virgin cheaper than Thomas cook! We have booked!
hi, Have been looking at package prices for some time, was thinking of Thomas cook for sept/Oct 2020 for 4 of us, prices seemed to be much better than virgin which just over a week ago for the dates I was looking for £1,100 more! So last few days have been looking at prices again & Thomas cook has gone right up in price but virgins prices have dropped! Thought I was doing something wrong, but no, prices are good, so we’ve gone & booked for two weeks in Oct 2020 with Virgin, partly in Oct school holiday time so do may miss a week off school! now for the planning! Woooo! Can’t wait! Xxx

Prices are so weird. Some people get deals with TUI, some with Thomas Cook and some with Virgin.
For me booking for September 2020 TC were cheapest, TUI was actually the most expensive. I honestly don't know how they work it out, so many variables, dates, numbers going, discounts etc etc. We got a great deal in 2017, not so much these last 2 trips. Sounds like you've got a good price for yourself so congrats! I actually booked 2 months ago and since then prices have stayed the same, very surprised as I thought I'd likely pay the price for booking early. Even thought if prices went down by more than I paid in deposit I'd rebook to save a little more. Looks like that won't be happening any time soon.

That’s why I’d never write of Virgin (or any TA) completely. Prices very a lot and sometimes they are very good with full package protection which is always worth having!

The price was for package £3,130. This was for 3 x adults 1 x 15 yr old child, flights from Gatwick to MCO, 27th Oct- 10th Nov with 23kg luggage each, staying at Rosen inn point, inflight meals, standard seating, just thought it pretty good for Virgin, think day before was over £5,000 in price
