May 2020 ?

Hello I am looking to visit Florida in May of next year , in between the two bank holidays here, I have only been in September before but didn't enjoy the humidity last time!
So can anyone who has been at this time give me an idea on weather, crowds etc. Thanks

This is my favourite time of year to visit. We usually go in the middle of April into the first week of May and the weather is perfect. Warm to hot and very little rain and low crowd numbers. We went May into June last year and it was a lot hotter (still nothing like the summer), but still in the high 90s. There were a lot more people around though.
Enjoy the magic!

We were there last May (5th - 19th) and really enjoyed it. I had only been once before, which was in August 1999!, so don't really have much to compare to but I do remember the weather being unbearable back then.
We did have a week of sun and pretty much the second week was all rain, with patches of sun here and there, but I think this was quite unusual
We enjoyed the crowd levels and weather enough to book our next in May 2020

We have just returned :-( May 2nd - 19th. We usually go a week earlier but Easter was late this year. The first week was very humid, not too hot, around 28-30 degrees. The second week, humidity fell and the temp was around 31 degrees. We had 3 massive storms over the 17 days, quite spectacular, but rain-wise was mostly around 20-40% chance for most of our stay. So no complaints about the weather.
Crowd levels were great (we only did the Universal parks and Legoland) - could not complain at all about these either.
The difference this year was the Love Bugs - there were so many. We go around this time every year and have never experienced so many. They got everywhere. They are harmless but do like to land on you or get blown into you

Having said that, we are still planning on going back next May (just hoping this mass invasion of the little creatures was a one off)

We usually go in May but this year went in February. I preferred the weather in February as it was cooler but still warm. But I thought it was much busier in February. We are going again in September and I am a bit worried about the heat and humidity.

I definitely prefer May to February and I suspect I will prefer May to September too.

It’s so subjective really. I’ve just come back May 1st through May 15th

Weather okay. Typically Florida, Sunny, warm, thunder, lightning and rain. I preferred the humidity in September but I live in a hot country so I’m used to heat etc

Crowds. Compared to previous visits over ten years ago in mainly in September, I found the crowds heavier but not unacceptable but walk on rides impossible now, that’s a sea change for me, but as I say my previous 13 visits over ten years ago

May has become our favorite time of they year. I would say crowd levels are medium, We did have a couple of days last year where Animal Kingdom was really busy.

Weather wise it was wonderful, I think it maybe rained twice for about 20 mins.

We usually like last week of April first week of May, But next year we are doing middle two weeks of May. I am hoping this time is just as lovely as the beginning

Thanks everybody for the replies, just one other thing I have been looking at traveling on the 11th of may for 10 nights with kenwood travel but at the moment the price is a little too high I then looked at the 8th of may and this is 247 pounds cheaper but flying with Thomas cook, I would prefer if possible to fly with virgin, this is nothing to do with Thomas cook's issues at the moment I just prefer virgin, do you think I am being too picky or should I leave it to see if the price for the 11th comes down, thanks for your time
