The french start back on the 1st of September (pretty much the same as us). There could be just as many locals as foreigners in i'm afraid. As usual though weekdays will be lighter than weekends.

We went late Aug last year - coming back on the 6th Sept.
We found crowd levels dropping day by day - but the last few days were then busy again, predominantly with south americans. If you leave it til the last two weeks of Aug it ties in with when the US kids return to school so crowds are generally lighter - no ridiculous queue times really

We went late july/early August last year and found it ok. Managed the rides we wanted to do using fastpasses or getting there early. If you are staying onsite or have an annual pass use EMH. Do the popular rides first.
I would definatley not give August a miss. |

Give it a miss? It depends. If it was my first ever DLP then either stay a little longer (maybe a mon->fri) or plan outside of the french school holidays. Ideally for a first trip you want the weather to be good and reasonable crowds so you get to see more.
If it isnt your first trip then no doubt you wont mind skipping things if it is too crowded. Oh and avoid weekends. edit: remember that dreams is guaranteed nightly and not to be missed. noone knows what will happen to dreams later in the year. |

Hi
We're booked to go 27th Aug this yr & cant wait! Never been in Aug before so looking forward to the heat rather than the freezing cold when we usually go in Jan or March! I dont mind it being busy as we've been before but the parks open later in Aug & I hear later in the evenings people with very young kids leave a bit early so the ques sort of die down a bit

It will be busy but if you go prepared for that you'll have a great time.
I don't think it makes massive difference as French/uk schools are off throughout x |
