ToT without fastpass

First trip to Florida / disney - looking at FP availability and the fact that we are staying offsite the one ride we REALLY need to do at HS is Tower of Terror , looks like we will struggle to get a FP mid july so any strategies on how to queue as little as possible? There are 5 of us ! Tips would be most welcome

The problem at the moment is that it is being refurbished currently, but they didn't want to close it because of its popularity, so they have closed one drop tower leaving the other running. Then they will swap over to do the other tower. This of course means its only operating at half capacity hence the restricted numbers of FP. I can't tell you when it will be back at full capacity as Disney haven't given a date yet. I know this isn't very helpful, just wanted to explain why its more difficult to get FP and queues are higher than average currently

Just go there on opening. Everyone else heads to SDD. So go there at rope drop there will be no queue for first 30 mins.

Fastpasses can be a bit like adrs you might struggle to find them for bigger groups but there might still be availability for 1-2 people so If you struggle to get fastpasses for 5 people in one go try booking a couple at a time and then see if you can get overlapping time slots.

Its also worth checking right up to the day itself as people do cancel or reschedule freeing up slots

standby wise other than going first thing get the app and check wait times throughout the day

I'm headed there around the same time as you and seeing the same issues. I'm going to keep trying for a fastpass but plan B is just get there early and head to ToT first. As the other person said, early crowd heads straight for Slinky Dog so we'll arrive just after rope drop and go to ToT. We're going a second time at the end of the holiday and going to try for Slinky Dog as park closes as already seen Fantasmic.

I would do it at rope drop. We did this and we were literally the first people on the ride! But by the time we came off it was posted as a 60 minute wait, so make sure you get there quickly!

The queue was 120 mins yesterday! We had managed to get one set of FP for our entire stay. It will probably be the only time we ride it this holiday...

Good advice already given on here. Quick walk there at rope drop and you will be straight on.

I think it's only 2 lifts that's out of commission as the other 2 are still working.

2 weeks ago the standby line at Midday snaked onto the road and was past the entrance to Beauty and the Beast
