NBA Experience. Anyone been?
Thinking of giving it a go next year just wondered if it is worth the money?
Many Thanks in advance

Yes, we went on the Friday of the week it opened.
We loved it. Having said that we are huge NBA fans and my DS plays club basketball. There’s not a huge amount of interactive experiences but we were there around 3.5 hours. I can give you more info on the experiences, but don’t want to spoil it for you. Let me know if you want more info.

If you don't mind spoilers then this video is also worth a look. Tim kind of takes you around all of the experiences available:

Sorry only now replying.
Okay spoilers... The first floor (ground) there is a replica champions trophy that you can take interactive photos with. There is an area that is set up like a locker room, with lots of memorabilia. The shooting experience allows you to take shots and you get an analysis of your shots. There are two short films to see. Second floor (first) there is an arcade type area with the basketball shooting games you find in an arcade. You can use those as many times as you like. A slingshot game, shooting baskets with a slingshot. Lots of fun. Then there is a setup like a court where you do timed layups. Dribble tutorials - a video coach gives you dribbling drills and gives you an analysis, you work through several stages. Slam dunk, the baskets can be raised or lowered to have a go at slam dunk. Video judging - you watch parts of a game and make decisions on calls that are made. I think that’s about it! At the end is the store. There wasn’t a great selection if I’m honest. But enough to get a souvenir. |
