I totally forgot about the DVC resorts appearing for September! We're £7,795 for 2 rooms in the Tower at CSR and tickets for 3. I think my mum would prepared to pay the extra for a 2-bed at OKW. She is OBSESSED with the washing machine in the room. But to me, I see the price difference as the cost of QSDP!

Missed your last post. Like your idea of renting DVC points for a split stay so you still get to stay in the Crescent Lake area. Our November trip is still currently booked for the Dolphin. My heart isn't really in it, particularly since the news about the buses. But I also don't think my heart is in CSR (quite a bit cheaper) considering we'll have already been there in September. Plus if I don't do a 'non' Disney trip without DDP, how will I ever know if I like it or not!? I think if I knew we could park hop I'd feel more comfortable with the Dolphin.
Still waiting on a reply from VA. I can see this going the way of the outbound flight booking but I won’t have the same time tomorrow at work as I did last time.

I keep going back and forth from CSR to the Dolphin. I adore the location of the Dolphin but CSR is so much cheaper and like you all I can think is that’s food covered!

Well VA replied in the middle of the night to say no reward seats. Well there were when I texted .

Going to give them a call tomorrow to moan.

Unreal. Is it actually possible they could have gone that quickly? Good luck tomorrow.

I suppose maybe if there were only two. Someone finally got back to me via WhatsApp again this afternoon and said better to call for reward flights.

Still waiting for reward flights for our return. Not sure what we’ll do if there aren’t any!

In other news, found lobster bisque in the local Sainsbury’s! It’s Baxter’s and we haven’t tried it before. Hoping it takes us back to the Yachtsman!

I wasn’t going to post negativity on this thread but I’m getting more and more annoyed with VA . Still no reward seats for our inbound - in any class. So we can’t even book economy. I’ve contacted them on the website to provide some general feedback about how annoyed I am but I assume we’ll be home by the time they reply .

On a positive note Mum and Dad have booked their flights this morning. They’ve gone for economy delight at £645 pp which I though wasn’t bad. PE is too expensive just now but they’ll keep an eye out for that coming down.

I’ve just had a pointless argument with VA on Twitter via DM where they continued to tell me to contact them via various other methods to check availability. I know how to check availability and there is none! At the moment our only option is to pay for a return ticket or return on the Tuesday rather than the Friday giving us a 13 night trip and Mum & Dad the 16 nights. I could honestly cry and I’m getting nowhere with VA because “no one can release reward seats”. I’m sure someone can . I’ve contacted them via WhatsApp again and left feedback via the website just so I can vent my frustration at their incompetence!

Oh that’s a shame that you are struggling to get your return reward flight. What date are you looking at as I’ll keep my eye out because I know they just randomly turn up sometimes. It’s Mco to Glasgow isn’t it?

Yes the 24th September. I’ve set up an alert with Seat Spy and am checking constantly. I’m isolating until Tuesday as I’ve been in contact with Covid so I think that’s what’s making me so impatient. I’m trying to work from home but there’s only so much I can do and this is distracting me!

I’m just so mad about it. They sell these airline miles things as a loyalty club but you can only use them if it’s convenient for them. And trying to complain is fruitless because no one on the other end has any authority. I mean they sell you miles knowing full well you may not be able to use them for the route or dates you want. It’s verging on criminal .

Try not to worry as when I was looking at August (Although from Manchester) they didn’t release reward flights for a good few weeks after the flight dates were released. Hopefully they will turn up soon, good luck.
