I think if they did, they’d concentrate on the New York route first to allow more business travel and leave leisure routes like Orlando til much later.

The flight I’m due to fly to Orlando on is only about 30% full so reopening flights with the additional expense of rapid testing when so many people have moved their holidays wouldn’t make much sense unfortunately.

Here is a copy of what I posted in the Current Issues Forum eariler:-

BA and AA have announced that they are to start a Covid19 trial on selected flights from the US to the UK. United Airlines have already had one flight arrive in the UK having pre-tested all the passengers. A step in the right direction to try to get travel going again.

The free tests will initially be offered to eligible customers booked on

American Airlines flight AA50 departing Dallas/ Fort Worth (DFW) to LHR;
British Airways flight BA114 departing New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) to LHR; and
British Airways flight BA268 from Los Angeles (LAX) to LHR.
All of these will begin on November 25, 2020.

We’re Christmas Eve, so I fully expect that we won’t hear until December.

They are telling you 21 days before departure.

When you download tickets they are telling you the tickets are not generated yet. Please call or chat with us.
When you chat the automated messages read...

We are continually reviewing our flying schedules, taking into account the  Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) advice against all non-essential travel. Depending on when you are due to travel, your holiday may be affected and we’ll email you to let you know as least 21 days before travel.
