Highlander Day10 Shopping and Elton

Saturday 25th October
We where all up around 8, we get our free breakie as usual, today we are doing some some shopping, pool and in the evening we have Elton John tickets, before heading to the shops we head into Hooters casino where both myself and Jacquie join their players club, we won nothing with our free $200 free spins each, although I did manage a few free whisky and cokes, we also got a coupon for 25% off merchandise in their stores, so we did save a bit on some gifts and DS bought a 2009 calendar we also saw that three of the calendar girls would be signing today at 1pm so we promised we'd be back for the signing. I wont bore you with the details but needless to say the Fashion show mall got a big chunk of our cash although it was mostly for Danny at the Adidas store and two more pair of expensive trainers, we did buy some gifts from the M&M World and some cherry M&M's.
We headed back to the hotel, but we stopped at Hooters as it was just after 1pm and we struck lucky as their was no one in line for the girls so Danny actually had about a 10 min chat with these girls who thought he was cute and they loved his accent

We then decided to spend the afternoon by the pool, DW wanted to cancel our Envy reservations as she just wanted to chill by the pool before the concert and we could try Ellis Island again, so I cracked open the champagne we got on arrival and we had a lazy and for me a boozy afternoon, Danny it has to be said did actually spend a couple of hours in the gym

We got a taxo to Ellis Island around 5:30 but unfortunately there was an hour wait and the BBQ section was closed for a private event so we got a BBQ chicken pizza from their takeout restaurant and ate it inside although I did gamble a few dollars as well.
We caught a taxi as we left to get to Ceasers for Elton now this taxi driver was mad he from Mexico and he drove like a maniac, through car parks, underground car parking turned around by Casino security and this was all for $6 gave him $10 as it was an experience
The security at the concert was heavy but not as heavy as the Criss Angel people, the bar prices where expensive as was the souvenirs, the show itself was great, he even had the audience on stage for a song, and as it was his partners birthday and his last show of the year in Vegas he was in a good mood, I will say though he ended the show weird as it was on a slow song then he just walked off no encore at all, but we did enjoy it although we all agreed Barry Manilow was a much better showman.

After the concert I had a bit of a gamble then we wandered the strip Danny was especially taken by the Flamingos pole dancers, he tried to get me to gamble at their tables, I got my free beer and hotdog from Bill's with my ACG coupon, we got some more juice and sweets from Walgreen's plus some ice lollies we relaxed in the room watching TV all in bed for 2am I still had internet access despite only paying for 1 day as well

You're going to have to watch that boy - he'll be back to Vegas like a shot when he's old enough! Make sure he goes on his own money!
