Suggestions on how to spend last day of holiday
We're off to Canada shortly flying into Vancouver then driving across to the Rockies and returning from Calgary.
Towards the end of the holiday we will be staying in Canmore and have a 10pm flight from Calgary to the UK on our last day so more or less have a full final day. Originally we were going to drive to one of Calgary's Park and ride sites near the airport, ride the C-Train into Calgary and have lunch at the Tower restaurant. However the Tower is closed for renovation on the elevators and looks like it still will be in September (my reservation at the Sky 360 restaurant has been cancelled). So anyone out there have any suggestions of something else to do for our final day? We don't have to drop our hire car off until 8pm. I should add we will have been in the Canmore area for the previous 4 days so hopefully will have covered a lot of the sights around Banff. Thanks Pinkrose |

Would Drumheller be too far for you. The museum is brilliant.

Google maps shows it's a 2 1/2 hour drive from Canmore to Drumheller and then 1 1/2 hours from Drumheller to Calgary airport so maybe is a bit too far to drive but thanks for the suggestion.

There is also Calgary Heritage Park, which is well worth a visit. Also, the Olympic Park.

Another for the Olympic Park - you can zip line the ski jump there (great fun) and they also have downhill luge carts which are brilliant too
