Group of 8 or 10 - what car?

So looking at a group of 8 to 10 people going next summer (aged 12-75)

Do we have a 12 seat van/mini bus or 2 x 7 seat Pacifica?

Last time we went in a big group we had 2xSUVs 7 seats but as we went most places together it cost double in fuel and parking at parks etc. But did give us options on other days to do things in 2 groups and have some space!

Any ideas / suggestions.

It depends if you think you’ll be wanting to spend most of your time together. As you say, it doesn’t make much sense paying twice for parking in a park if everyone in the group plans to be there. However, if some were planning shopping while others wanted a park, it does become more difficult. With parking at $25 per day, it certainly is worth having a discussion with the rest of the group to get an idea of what everyone wants to do. Fuel isn’t particularly expensive, so wouldn’t really be part of the decision for me.

Even if you needed to split up sometimes, I'd look to use Uber/Lyft rather than have the extra car all the time.
