Me and DH were talking about this yesterday.
Our essentials are rice krispies for him. Loads of pasta and pesto for me.
Chocolate had already been added to the list.

Back in 1999 I was "invited" to join my employer's Y2K working group. There were about 6 of us from various departments and the first task we did was to write to every company on both the sales and purchase ledger records. We asked them all to confirm what steps they had taken to ensure that they were year 2000 compliant.

The head office window cleaning company replied advising that their wash leathers were all Y2K compliant.

Nope! No prep here, we fly to Florida on 31st October so just hoping for no travel disruption. DH says we might not get back in at the end of our hol, but I can't say I'm too concerned about that

I actually don't think much, if anything, will change for ordinary folk. Except maybe a few small price increases which will come back down again after a short time.
