No Carbs before Marbs?! Day Six - Dinner date without the smelly kids!

A difficult morning today, last night had left its mark, and although the boys had all made uo and apologised I just felt the need for a peaceful day on the beach, listening to the sea. Kieran had to leave today as he has work tomorrow, so while Terry and the boys took him to the airport, I got a sunbed on the beach alone, and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. I was sorry to see my ginger son leave, he had been good company and a great cook!

I got a half hour back massage from a little thai lady who was travelling up and down the beach, she said my back was very very bad! it always is.
This gorgeous beach peacock was literally the highlight of my day! Look at it! 🥰🥰🥰

We made an executive parenting decision to eat on our own this evening, and sent the boys off to Marbella to a little pizzeria, while we stayed more locally in a lovely little place called ‘The Playwright’ and had an early bird menu, three courses for 27.50 euros, it was amazing! I had a sticky pork belly salad with vietnamese dressing, then rack of lamb, with truffle mashed potatoes and vegetables (carrots YES! I love love love carrots) and a tasty gravy. And finally a heavenly pavlova, which sent my sugar deprived body into orbit. Terry had seafood chowder, lamb rack, and a very unique apple dessert, which was a coconut mousse in an apple gel shaped like a perfect granny smith!

We walked home and took a loop around the development our villa is on, Los Monteros, it is millionaires row, the houses are jaw dropping, but I am mostly bowled over by the incredible lush trees and flowers everywhere. Its stunning.

When we got home, the boys were swimming in the pool and having fun.

Glad that today was more positive, calm, drama free, and hoping tomorrow is even better.
