For most things you need for young children you are better off buying cheap from Walmart than hiring. We looked into it for our friends when we go and the cost to hire stroller/pack and play/high chair was something like $50 more than purchasing from Walmart

We bought one from Walmart and let them swap about, rather than get a double and push them both. It was handy to carry stuff when they didn't want to ride, which to be honest was most of the time, but available if they needed a break.
It was cheaper than hiring, and once the holiday was over we didn't need it so left it at the villa.

We hire a double buggy for ours when we go. We hire from Kingdom Strollers.

When my daughter was 5 we took a cheap fold-up buggy for her, as we knew she would tire easily and we were staying quite a distance offsite. Worked a treat.

Just a gentle reminder - don't forget Disney have recently introduced rules as to buggy or pushchair sizes that can be used in the parks, there is a maximum width and length to them now.
