I like Sealy mattresses. I find them good quality for the price.

The thurapur harmonic 2200 has this cooling gel topper and it’s really cool. Feels lovely but my husband is concerned it will be cold in winter.
Also, with the cooling gel top, will it last? Or will the coolness run out?

We have a Tempur mattress which is ok, the mrs loves it but im not a big fan of it really.
Son and step daughter have Simba mattresses and love them. I love them too, so comfy and highly recommended.

From a personal perspective next time we will go for a plain mattress and no fancy topper bits on again , If DH wants more heat he can have his side of the electric blanket on ...seriously we aren’t overly elderly ..51 and 50 but I am on the Menopause and he feels the cold in the autumn and winter so we have a split electric blanket . It would have to be Baltic for my side to be on !

We have a Simba which is great. DS has just ordered an Otty for his new house as they seem to be quite popular too.

I would steer clear of memory foam and pillow tops then.

I hate to think what I’ll be like when the night sweats start, I get way too hot as it is already!

We got a memory foam one and to start with was great but now it dips in the middle and we roll together. Also hot in the summer. I am looking for a new mattress so watching this thread for ideas...
