Disney Infinity Figures

Have been looking at the Disney Infinity figures for my nephew as a toy as he enjoys the Toybox range, do the Infinity figures move like the Toybox range?

If I remember correctly, the Disney infinity figures don't move at all.

No they don't move. They do look nice on display though. You can often pick them up cheap in the poundshop or home bargains.

Disney Infinity was a video game similar to Skylanders. Plastic figures of various characters could be collected and placed on a special base connected to a video game console (Playstation, Xbox, WiiU) and you could then play as that character in the game. I believe the game was discontinued a couple of years ago - probably why the figures are cheap now.

The plastic figures cannot move. They are like miniature statues. They look nice though.

Real shame that the game didn’t do well there was a lot of potential

Also it was fun if you put a magic band on the portal it played a magical sound and unlocked some content

If you had a childs Disney Cruise band and used it on your portal it unlocked a whole range of cruise 🚢 accessories and toybox features otherwise totally unavailable. We still have almost a full range of the majority of all of the available figures. Great way to bring part of your Disney holiday home with you. They also had a full Disney Infinity range on the cruise ships for the kids to play with. Real shame that they felt the financial need to pull the plug on such a great gaming experience.

Will give this a try with tyke... had no idea, thanks

To the OP, as others have said, the figures don't move, but they are top quality models, more akin to show than play (unless in the game, of course).

Pity the game was discontinued, it was really rather good.
