EastBourne Vs Brighton

I'm looking for a bit of advice..

I am looking for a few days away mid September once I have handed in my dissertation for my masters..

Its our wedding anniversary the week before but I know that I will be too busy to do anything so want to have a few days away after to relax destress and spend time with my husband..

was thinking about a few days down the south cost we already going to Bournemouth for a few nights to visit a friend and will be also going to London to visit my Cousin on the way home for a night.

So was wondering which was better for 2 nights just to 2 of us Eastbourne or Brighton?

Thanks in advance

Brighton for me too, love it! I particularly love the shops, lanes, and seeing the Royal Pavillion. Have fun whatever you choose OP.

Another vote for Brighton here too.

If you opt for there, avoid anything around 8-11 Sept as it’s the date of the TUC Congress. Hotels will be busy and probably more expensive than normal.

Brighton... as others have mentioned you have the lanes, shopping, royal pavilion, I-360, Brighton pier. Lots of lovely restaurants for lunch or romantic dinners.

As lovely as Eastbourne is (I can recommend heading there on a Wednesday evening for music at the bandstand) there is definitely more to do In Brighton!

It's the best part of 100 miles from Bournemouth to Brighton, another 20 to Eastbourne, although not a bad road, dual carriageway and motorway for the most part. We live about midway between the 2 and for the beach alone Bournemouth would be our go to choice.

I can see the attraction of Brighton for the reasons already given, parking can be an issue so somewhere with parking included would be a bonus.

Went to Brighton for the day when I was on London in June as was flying back from Gatwick and saw it was only half hour from Brighton! Hadn't been before. I really liked it tho, once you ignore the run down bits from the station!
The seafront is nice and the pier. And there is the BA 360, didn't go on it heard its great for the views tho. Only thing is it's shingle beach in case you were expecting sand!
