If you can afford it, have the time off then why not.
I thought about last minute deals but do find decent flights at times so always had a short count down

Absolutely not mad - we are at Disney for our second trip of the year now, got annual passes and have the third booked. Life is too short - I look forward to seeing all your adventures!

What a good deal, don't even think about what your family will say. Life's too short to avoid something you enjoy because of others. For years we got criticised for always sticking to Florida. The funny thing is some of those people actually live there now. Have a fab time and enjoy it all !

It's your money, do what yo want with it, I wouldn't be worrying about family, Although to be fair if it was me i'd set up a family What's app group and make sur they see lots of pictures!
