Lennon and McCartney

Are they the best song writers of all time?

Slightly random but having a YouTube evening...

The brilliance of the songs written by these 2.

Take it all for granted everyday as I walk / drive around Liverpool.

ETA: please ask for the vibe tour next time you are in Hard Rock Cafe.

Its amazing how much music you discover without any live football, golf and MOTD. Have spent the night doing the same.

To answer your question - YES!
Anyone who could write 'A Day in the Life' at its time and place ( 1967!) is insurmountable, possibly unbelievable, given the technology available - their contribution to every piece of music made after this is beyond compare.

She got a ticket to ride, years before the egg-man came in thro the bathroom window, for the benefit or Mr Kite and Henry the horse dancing the waltz I crept off to sleep in the bath, before meeting a man from the motor trade who said baby you can drive my car, but while my guitar gently weeps, silently turning the back door key, stepping outside she is free... and in the end the love you take is equal to the love you gave... let it be.

I watched Yesterday on the plane out in November and it was shocking how many songs I had forgotten. I don't mind admitting I had tears in my eyes at some of them.

We are massive Beatles fans. Saw Paul McCartney play in Birmingham a few years back and oh my gosh, I cried and still get goosebumps when I think about it, I'll never forget it as long as I live. Our little boys middle name is Lennon 😊😊

Lennon and McCartney were neck and neck with Brian Wilson for me ...

They both produced music that has been a constant soundtrack to my life.

As I born in 1954 I got to appreciated each offering as it was released.

I even have the stuff they didn't want me to hear.

I'm old enough to have seen the group live at, I think, Hammersmith. It was a very long time ago.

I’m so jealous. They will always be my favourite band and even now I live to hear their songs.

My favourite has to be Love Me Do, especially John’s harmonica intro. That really is spine-chilling.

And let's remember the great songs written by George Harrison, while my guitar gently weeps, something, here comes the Sun and others
