Easter V's August

Hi

We have been to Florida a few times now, the last time being in May/June 2018, we've also stayed over Easter and in the first few weeks in July. We loved the weather at Easter but it is expensive and obviously busy (but it always seems busy I suppose). We are stuck to school holidays so we're looking at Easter or August 2021. I know the difference will be the weather but we're looking at the last 2/3 weeks of August flying back home over the bank holiday weekend. Am I right to think American schools return at the beginning of August? Do the crowds ease off towards the end of August? What would you do or would prefer and why? Thanks

We go last couple of weeks in August and it does ease off a bit as you approach September. It's not quiet but less busy. We did Easter once and found the actual weekend from the Thursday to the Tuesday almost unbearable but the rest of the time it was fine. As you say the issue with August is the humidity and heat but we manage.

The weather is much nicer at Easter but the crowds are a bit better in August.

Having done both we prefer August, as late as possible. We did 3 weeks from August 5th returning on bank holiday Sunday. The last week was the quietest as the US schools tend to go back mid August. The weather is a lot more humid than Easter with a lot more rain but we find Easter far too busy. Last time we went at Easter we struggled to eat anywhere over the weekend as all restaurants were so busy.

We have been 3 times in august and once at Easter. Weather wise preferred Easter it was hot but not humid like august. The crowds the first week was good but the week leading up to easter weekend was something else! We tend to go for last 2 weeks of august now. Not just that but we are used to going away in August. I have the whole 6 weeks off due to working in school which gets very boring. And really didnt like the fact come summer we had already had our holiday lol
