French Quarter

If we book a River View can you see it from your room. Thanks for any replies.

You can but we found that as people walk past your room we didn’t leave the blinds open and only really saw it as we came out of the room. Was nice but have gone for garden view since as there are no balconies.

some of the river view rooms are on the back overlooking the river there are other side rooms that would probably have a more restricted view.

If you check out the portorleans unoffical website it has room maps that you can click on to see room types and locations

Basically. In any moderate resort you have to leave your room to really see the view. We had a gorgeous river view room one year at POFQ. But once in the room who knew...

I've stayed at POFQ a few time now and I absolutely love it there. However I would not pay any extra for a room with a view. There are walkways in front of all the rooms and with no balcony's it's just not a resort where you sit and look at the view. Others opinions may be different of course but in my opinion it offers very little advantage (if any) for the extra cost.

I agree with you. I absolutely adore POFQ but a standard room is fine for me. If I want to look at the view I go outside and sit on a bench.

Thanks so much... I will go and sit on a Bench when I want to look at the river and the boats, save my pennies and buy some ice creams instead.
