Alamo check in details
Quick question. If we have a 2nd driver on the hire car, do they need to be there when I pick up the car?
They are flying in on another flight.

They don't have to be there but they wont be on the contract to drive so you will need to pop to another depot with them at your convenience. The counter clerk will then issue a new contract. Takes only a few minutes.

Hi Assuming it’s not your spouse or partner, which is another story.!
Taking my life in my hands🙄but I have to disagree With Mr T. I’ve rented with Alamo numerous time with a second driver who was never with me as I left the garage and as I had completed straight to the garage with the second drivers details included they are included as an extra driver on the contract. If the 2nd is not there and for any reason they are not on the contract then as Tom says go to any Alamo depot and have them added to the contract. |

Do Alamo include a spouse for free on their standard hire?

Difficult question to answer, yes and no. Before the pandemic it appeared that Alamo had changed the wording of the contracts to included spouse/partner but! there was differing answers received from Alamo. Many on here were hoping it could be verified once someone had an actual contract from the garage but Covid-19 put a stop to that. There was a long tread many months ago which I could try and find if you’re interested, but it’s all now up in the air.
