I think you really need a Villa for a family of 4 children... Other alturnative is get 2 rooms in a Disney Hotel, or a suite, then theres transport to all the disney parks, and you can get a taxi for a reasonable amount to Unversal, IOA and Sew World, althpugh then the sites that you obviosly want to see on I-Drive may not be as available, and also Busch Gardens Would be a big taxi fare! I dont know really, but the only way for you to go in my opinion is a villa... what did you do last time? Beacause you coud try the same thing this time...
We have stayed on I-Drive, next to the convensioncenter and seaworld, and i have to say the parks were really close, lots of nice places to eat, but you dont sound like your visiting the parks much... beacause the parks are really the main prt of Orlando... |

We stayed on i-drive last year in the Hawthorn suites which have rooms for 6 people, we had 14 day passes for disney and used them nearly every day, just would like to stay on site next time and go for 3 weeks instead of 2.
Couldnt agree with you more about the parks, we would love to try universal next time as we felt the kids were to young last time plus 2 weeks in disney just wasnt enough! |

Hi madmumof4,
Definitely try a villa with car hire, with 4 kids you will find it makes all the difference. Once you have had your own space to come and go as you please you will find it hard to go back to hotels. The costs are not that high either. Last year we were cheaper with a villa than hotels because like you we needed two rooms. We ate a basic breakfast in the villa before we left in the morning and ate lunch at the parks and dinner off site (pondarosa etc). Didnt use the cooker once in two weeks, ahh bliss |
