DCL Transfer from the airport
Hi
Still not decided what to do about a cruise for next year and thinking what the hell just push the boat out (pardon the pun) and do another Disney cruise instead of trying Royal Caribbean! This may be a really stupid question ... If I arrive at the airport the day before the cruise and stay overnight at the airport do I need to stay at a specific hotel to be able to do the DCL transfer to the port the following day? Thanks.

No you don't. We are booked at the Hyatt and have DCL transport booked from Mco but they are unaware of where we are staying.
I think the luggage collection from your room at the Hyatt is a bonus 😀 Dawn

Its the Hyatt I really fancy staying at. I thought there was an option for them to collect your luggage from your room if you were staying there.

We have stayed there a few times but always taken a private transfer to the port so next year will be our first time using Disney transfers.
It will be interesting to see how the luggage collection works, although I can't see any hardship in taking the cases down ourselves 😂 We have similar countdowns I think. Our cruise is 1st October. Dawn

Oh spooky that's one of the cruise dates I'm looking at or possibly the week before. I need to convince DH first!

Let the front desk at Hyatt know you are sailing on DCL the next day. They will give you a letter with instructions and a tear off slip.
Then next morning you will leave you bags in the room with your DCL luggage tags on them. Someone will come by and grab your bags, you don't have to be there. You will take the tear off slip with you to the DCL bus deck (NOT Magical Express) and give them the slip letting them know your bags were in your room. First bus leaves around 8:30, get on it and you'll be one of the first to arrive with no waiting outside the terminal. Joa
