no maggie, it's all done via the app, drivers don't handle cash but you'll get all details on your app.

Once you've set up the app and added your payment method, everything is charged to that card after you've completed each trip. You need never carry cash with Uber nor do you need any cards on you.

This sounds brilliant. Am staying at Yacht Club with OH and 12 year old son who both have an aversion to shopping.
I take it if I decide to go to a mall on my own would I be better being picked up/dropped off at Swan and Dolphin rather than the Yacht Club.

Nope, you can get picked up from any Disney resort by an Uber driver at no charge.

Many thanks.
Now this may put a new perspective on my holiday as I had resigned myself to only one quick shopping trip to LBV Factory Outlet if I was lucky. I will have to research closest Malls to yacht Club.

Uber really is the best combination of easy to use, cheap and reliable. Treat yourself to another shopping trip with the savings

Uber gratuity

Hi

Sorry if this has been asked before but when paying for Uber (only just downloaded it) is there an option for gratuity when finishing the journey.

I know you can add it as a set percentage on the web settings, but I'm wondering if it's changeable per journey as I'm all for tipping when you've had good service, and the opposite when not.

Cheers

The default gratuity (or tip) is zilch. Uber recommend that you don't tip Uber drivers - it isn't necessary although we did when being taken back to the airport as he lugged two heavy cases out of his boot for us. The setting you mention on the web is for one specific type of Uber car - I don't even think it's possible to order one in Orlando. A tip will not be added to your fare - the estimate you see is the price you pay.

So, if you don't tip your Uber driver, it is really not a big deal. In fact, they expect not to be tipped. They typically ask for a 5 star rating instead.
