the reason, well first off its all a bit of a show, we wouldnt want to have meat / shrimp etc etc waved in our face as part of a show

We ate there last week and and our table there was just us DW & I, plus five local women. Two of them were vegetarian and the manager came out and gave then a very thorough "grilling" about what was OK and what wasn't. One of them was OK with fish but the other wasn't.

Two other members of the group ordered sushi as the main course so there was nothing to cook for them. I have to say that Teppan Edo seeemed a ridiculous choice for their group.

Teppan Edo is wonderful, if you are able to go I would recommend it 100%!

We went on our last visit our daughter is pescetarian they cooked everyones noodles first then cooked her prawns on a clean hot plate before the meat was cooked. She is fine with meat being cooked in front of her as we all eat meat but it is close quarters if your not fine with meat being cooked . I was nervous taking her but it turned out everyones favourite and a definite to return to next year

Thanks all, really helpful info. Think we're going to not go with Teppan Edo this time so have taken Akershus off the list too & am looking for a signature 2 credit place for us instead

as veggies we liked Akershus, the only downside was the dessert, we couldnt have 1 of the trio

Gelatine? do they mark desserts as veggie on menus do you know or did you have to ask? thanks

The idea of a signature came & went pretty quick, it's just such poor value of 2 credits for a veggie dish. so back to the drawing board, very glad I decided to look now while I've still got a couple of months
