Been on my own with my 2 Dds many times have stayed onsite at Disney, Rosen Inn International, and Embassy Suite (IDrive) and have always felt perfectly safe. My sister has stayed at Homewood Suites. All in busy areas, lots of places to eat. Booked to stay at Rosen Inn at Pointe next time. Lots of hotel choices in that area of I Drive.

Been many times with my daughter, only thing we do insist on is a hotel with interior corridors, nowhere with rooms that open onto a walkway.

Just back from A trip to Orlando with my DD (18). We stayed at Homewood Suites on International Drive, near Bahama Breeze and Hooters. The hotel was in an excellent location we were able to walk to many restaurants and we also used the ITrolley. The hotel is lovely and provides a free breakfast and evening light meals Monday to Thursday and there are shuttles to the parks. My only complaint was the pool area was very small for the size of the hotel but not sure if that's something that would bother you. Avanti Resort looks to be a very good choice too.

Thank you for all the replies so far. We will be going to Disney and Universal. I will have a look at some of the hotels mentioned. Thanks x
