Annual Pass entrance
Hi there,
I have just been watching an Adam Hattan vlog and he has bought an annual pass. Even though we have no plans to go next year I thought I would upgrade just mine as I don’t plan on going with DH and DD to a waterpark. I begrudge paying the $25 to park at Disney parks, especially if we just want to nip in for a couple of hours. We have a few table service meals booked and have crunched the numbers and reckon we will save a small amount using the annual pass. After that ramble, my actual question is: can all 3 of us use the AP line at the entrance to the parks? I W didn’t think we could but noticed that Gary went through with Adam on a vlog. Ok, just had a thought - it says you can book 7 days worth of Fastpasses with an annual pass but we would have already booked 14 with our old tickets. Will we lose our fastpasses?

Sorry, don’t know about fastpasses. As far as I know, only the AP holder can use the entrance. In all honesty, there is no benefit apart from maybe getting through quicker, although a few times when we went it was quicker to go through the normal one due to the number of pass holders.

If one of the party have an Annual Pass, all of the party can use the AP entrance. At least that's what we were told. (maybe it depends on the cast member on the day) It isn't always an advantage, often the line is just as long. you would just hope it would be quicker, as. in theory, AP holders should know how to use the taptiles properly.
Regards losing the FP already booked. I think if you've already booked them then upgrade to AP whilst there, you won't lose the FP already booked. It is an absolute pain that AP holders can only hold 7 days worth of FP at one time.

We originally bought 14 day ultimate tickets last summer when we went. We had 14 days of fast pass booked with those. Then on our first visit we upgraded to annual passes. I did later that day receive an email saying I had fast passes that I no longer qualified for on my ticket but I ignored it and we still managed to keep the booked fast passes. I did end up getting emails daily but ignored them.
We will be returning this summer with my parents. Mum has an annual pass but dad doesnt. And we will just as a group use the normal lines. Sometimes the AP admission line can be just as long. |

When we were in the Passholder line last week, the CMs wouldn’t let anyone through without an AP. The line wasn’t actually any quicker most of the time.

When we used the AP entrance line at Easter the family in front of us we’re trying to show the cast member their passes and we’re told they didn’t need to, they worked on an ‘honesty’ program. So it seems to vary on whether you can use it. I agree it is not always the shortest or quickest line.
We kept all our fast passes when we upgraded. We have also saved a decent amount with the discount in shops, from buying sweet treats to souvenirs. |

Makes me laugh a few times the AP lines were longer than the standard turnstiles but they still queued. ' I have an AP and I'll use this entrance to show everybody I have one'

They won’t let you thru if you don’t have an annual pass so the rest of the party will have to queue in the normal lines and quite right too! I pay a lot for my annual pass and it would annoy me if regular guests were able to use it.
