I’m desperate to book a spa weekend. I need a break! But I don’t think it’s wise to book anything at the moment.

I cancelled my trip at the weekend. As it is my 50th birthday I booked a long weekend in the UK instead. I always thought, it may need cancelling too and it probably will. I think so long as you book something fully refundable and are aware that you may need to cancel, there is no harm having something booked.

This month DLP went but cut short due to parks closing earlier, Venice due to go tomorrow also cancelled booked to stay in Lumley Castle instead but cancelled it yesterday with the new travel advice IOW with family June who knows at the moment so holding out for DD,s Wedding in October (fingers crossed ).

Luckily we got all our money back so will have to re book when things hopefully improve.

We had our holiday cancelled (Spain) and booked a trip in uk instead (non refundable) not really considering that guidance would change so quickly in the U.k.
hotel is saying it’s still open so no refund... not sure what to do, unless ‘told’ not to go, do we still go?

I just checked the website of the place I booked and they have put a covid-19 statement up. In it, it states that they have had a rise in bookings because of so many overseas plans being cancelled.

We have a caravan park booked for Easter with our touring caravan. I don’t think the park will close, unless government forces closure, and we didn’t book with cancellation cover (May start considering this from now on). I don’t think we want to go, so many attractions won’t be open in the area and I don’t feel sharing a communal toilet/shower block is safe. I’m going to email a week before to see if they are offering refunds but I think we will probably end up losing the £120. I’m not booking any other UK breaks until I’m sure we can go safely.

Our main holidays abroad are still a few months away. I will pay the balances when due and travel if safe to do so, or if it isn’t, hopefully the travel ban will stay in place and refunds will be given. I feel it’s all too uncertain to commit to any future booking at the moment though
