Good Eats: The return
alton is back!
after a seven year break, where he presented the likes of cutthroat kitchen and iron chef, he's back doing what he does best, teaching us how to improve your cooking, using simple instructions and the SCIENCE BEHIND IT ALL. he's like heston, but without the antigravity chambers and liquid nitrogen seriously, the original "good eats" show taught me SO MUCH about cooking, and how to do some great versions of well known foodstuffs. his (updated) steak method is my go-to method (dry aging open in the fridge overnight then using the reverse sear technique) and it always gives great results! anyway, the new show aired this weekend (in the US) and you can watch it on youtube. go watch, and then go find as much of his older stuff as you can. hopefully the renewed interest will mean it appears on netflix or something soon... |
