Useful Things To Buy In Japan
Thought might start this thread, of things we found useful for being in the parks, or around Tokyo (Japan itself) that we found after arriving.
First of all the sun and heat. There is a brand called Sea Breeze in Japan that make cooling sprays, lotions, wet wipes, body shampoo etc – that had an evaporative effect on the skin that cools you down. This is the link to the Japanese web site: seabreezeweb/ We found the wipes to be really good, on the back of neck, arms etc on hot days, really nice and cooling. Now I cannot find a link to the Japanese web site for this, just some site selling it in Brazil ( ! ) but got this sun spray in a convenience store and it was magic. My better half is a ginger Scot, stand near an old fashioned light bulb and they burn. SP50, goes on dry, not sticky, and you cannot feel it on your skin – it is like it is not there. produto.mercadolivre.br/...solar-azul-_JM Anything else other visitors want to add? |

We are going back again next year - I will look into the Seabreeze products.
I bought loads of fabric which was cheap. Not what you mean, I know, but I can turn it into useful things! |

Would this be needed in November please? Hoping not as I hate heat!

Little bento boxes are great for snacks, whilst food does come in bags and carrier bags are aplenty, we found that little nested bento bowls are great for leftovers and rubbish (till you get to a shop to throw rubbish away).
We use our bento bowls daily at work now. Compact umbrella's were useful in the summer. Easy to pack away and quick to get out. |

The gift bags from their version of the pound shop are fantastic. They are like greeting cards with such beautiful meaningful messages on them 😊

If you can find a Daiso store, they are the equivalent of our pound shops and have some really lovely, delicate things you can get for gifts. I bought my boss's kids a book on origami and a pack of coloured sheets of paper for the equivalent of about £2!
