Beijing and HK Nov 2019 - Day 13

Today we were moving to Disney!

We caught the metro from causeway bay, changing at central to jump on the line all the way up to sunny bay and then onto the Disney line. It took around 45 mins but we had arrived by 11. I love the Disney line - it has Mickey windows, Mickey handles, and cute little characters dotted along the inside of the carriage. My phone isn’t letting me upload them at the moment.

We caught the bus round to the hotel, as chris’ wheels were nearly falling off and we had to make it to the airport yet! The buses here are really nice, like coaches. They come every 10-25 minutes.

We had decided to stay in THE Disneyland hotel. We have pretty much got our whole week in HK for free from holiday inn points, so the money we saved on that we decide to splurge on Disney. We also decided to stay in the kingdom club

This hotel is amazing! When we walked in we were guided up to the kingdom club to a separate check in section. We were seated with cute little cookies and drinks.

We got 4 fastpasses straight away for each night we stayed and 1 viewing for the Mickey show. Our room wasn’t quite ready but we were free to use the kingdom club facilities all afternoon if we wanted. So we grabbed a cup of coffee and some more cookies. We then took a wonder around the hotel.

It was now 12 so we decided to jump back on the metro to Tung Chung and go see the big Buddha. We had pre booked tickets yesterday as the rate was cheaper online than in person and you could also book the crystal cabin up and normal down under a promotion for less than normal cabin both ways.

When you book direct through them your ticket works straight away, no queuing. There was a small queue for people buying tickets or exchanging Klook vouchers.

The wait for the crystal cabin was also small on the way up so in no time were we on. We both said that the glass floor was a tiny bit pointless as with all the views around the edge you spend most of your time staring out the window. Also on the way back down the normal cabin quiet was super short compared to the crystal. It runs in the order or 2 cabins normal, 1 crystal. And they didn’t seem to be filling up the cabins, only putting 4-5 people in.

Once at the top it was baking hot today! And there was no breeze. We decided to buy a gift for our dads, the little wooden hats and also use them now to keep the sun off.

The walk wasn’t too bad to the top. Unfortunately the sun was right behind so didn’t make for good photos, so we thought we would walk back up again in an hour to see if it was better.

So we walked down to see the temple and take a nosey. This one was much larger than those in the main city centre. It was also much more colourful. But it looked new.

We popped outside and sat with the cows and dogs to eat and ice cream before preparing for the walk up again. This time the sun was better and we managed to get some good photos.

We caught the cabin back down. We grabbed some egg tarts as we were peckish now. The heat really doesn’t make you feel hungry! We also grabbed some noodles, like pot noodles for dinner.

It was now time to check in!

OMG we saved the best room until last. I love these views.

We jumped in the pool for half an hour before heading back to the club lounge. They also have a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Chris is tempted to test them out tomorrow evening after park close.

At 6-8 they serve appetisers. Here was a selection on offers.

We then went back to eat our noodles on the balcony. And then headed back to the lunge to grab a hot chocolate and cookies before bed.

Another calm day! It was the other way round for us on the cable car to and from the big buddha - the normal queue was very long and the Crystal empty! I agree the glass bottom is a bit useless though 😜

Your room looks great at Disney! Enjoy tomorrow!
