Windsor @ Westside
Hi All
On the hunt for our 2020 villa and have found one on Windsor @ Westside that has taken our fancy. Anyone have any experience of staying here? We've stayed on US27 last few years and so travelled past the development at least twice a day on way to/from Disney and so know the area but wondering if there are experiences of the resort itself. Also, if anyone has been recently, do you know if there is building work on the other side of Westside Blvd, on White Lilly Drive as the villa we like would be backing on to this. Google maps shows the ground as cleared at some point in 2019 but it is no more precise on dates that that. Thanks in advance. |

Yes, Google updated their satellite photo only a few days ago - previously it was about 4 years out of date, but it is not clear when it was actually taken. The streetview photos on Westside Blvd just south of Sand Mine Rd, and on Monaco, are dated June 2019 and give a glimpse of Murano.
The development is Murano by DRHorton. They've started building at the north end. Don't know where they'll have got to whilst you are there, but they have a web site. There's lots of development in that area. Pulte are building between Windsor and the school. Solara is building south of Windsor on the east side of Westside Blvd (already built on the west side). Magnolia by Hovnanian, just west of Murano. Lennar and Mattamy own lots of the other plots of land. In a few years Westside Blvd will extend all the way to Championsgate, who are already building north of Bella Cita. That area is a bit remote from shops/restaurants at the moment, but will be close to Berry Town Center when the missing bit of Sand Mine Rd is built. There are 2 developers there - the one on the Polk County side (opposite the school) has had its plans approved, and Mattamy own the plot on the Osceola side, so that missing link may happen in a year or two now. |

hi @Mjspin
we have stayed there. its very much like a resort with a club house and great pool and lazy river. the houses are huge and has a very comfortable feel. The villa we chose had around 9 bedrooms as we used it as a base for guests at our wedding in disney. We have booked to go again in September and are excitied. the arcade (if you have kids or teens or even adults) is free in the clubhouse with around 5 or 6 games which is great. its around 10/15 mins from the disney parks. the only thing if you do not have a car, you will need Uber or taxi service to a restaurant as they are a little to far to walk to. any other questions. give me a shout nick |

just booked here for July. Got a 5 bed villa with full pool in a resort with lazy river. Ace!
Just wondered if there was any resort organised activities for the kids as we plan a wee at Universal and then 2 weeks just chilling at this resort.

We stayed last year and it was a lovely resort. However it was disappointing that people took the rings out of the lazy river and kept hold of them so nobody else could enjoy them. We also found it quite rowdy with big groups in the main pool and no supervision on the kids’ section so whilst mine waited patiently for their turn, other children pushed in.
The clubhouse is lovely, so is the food and my children loved the free arcade room. I didn’t notice any planned activities but then we only went a couple of times to the pool area.
