They had it as kids every Sunday and 1 chicken fed 6 of them so he kinda associates it with money bring tight!

He doesn't mind it midweek!

He's not wrong! I do it as a cost saver. I find it's cheaper this way.

I absolutely loathe Sunday roasts and haven't had one since leaving home in 1988!

We have one most Sundays. If not a roast then certainly another meal that the six of us share. We don’t manage to eat as the six of us most week days so we always make the effort most Fridays and every Saturday and Sunday.

I do love a roast!

Sunday dinner is my favourite meal!
When I was growing up my mum never made one, I used to live going to my friends house for one lol
My mum was a terrible cook bless her, it was fried spam and smash ! Or findus crispy pancakes! Yuk!
So now I regularly do a Sunday dinner, not every week though as we would get sick of it but most weeks in winter and we have it on a Saturday because we have rugby and visiting mum in Sunday’s so no time to cook the chicken.

Now that’s strange cos when I was young chicken was more expensive than beef, lamb or pork... we didn’t have chicken very often as it was a bit of a luxury...

we love a traditional Sunday roast but tend to only have one a month as they were becoming a bit too samey; now it's a treat we look forward to.
