Any further news on these claims? I've just received my TC refund. My new flights, which I've already used were an extra £660, should I use the same claim form or send them a letter? I think if I ring they will just say no!

I used same claim form with covering letter. I don't expect to hear anything until 45 days after I received flight refund.

Does anyone know the situation with seats that we had booked? I think we paid £60 each way. We were extremely lucky and had a CAA arranged flight home with Virgin but had paid for seats. I’m not sure if I will still have the email to prove it (although the credit card would show the transaction).

Was this for your price difference between original flights and re-booked ones?

Not that I’m counting, but it’ll be 45 days on Sunday since I put in my flight difference claim. Hopefully I’ll hear before then or I’ll be phoning on Monday.

Success!

Tesco phoned today to confirm they are paying my section 75 claim for increased flight costs AND overnight hotel accommodation at Gatwick into my bank account in the next 7 days

Now I wished I had booked those £6k flights from Manchester instead

Fab! Fingers crossed for mine now too. I might phone them after work. Well done. I Should have booked the expensive ones too but I did stay with PE when I re-booked so hopefully will get that ok. So, they agreed to paying you even though you changed to a different airport?
