Thank you. I was waiting for directs to MCO from Heathrow and hadn’t clicked that whenever we went direct previously it was from Gatwick for that reason and not just price.

OP. For your dates I am seeing Econ with luggage direct with VA for £810.
Still horrendous for Econ but the price is much less than the £2K you were seeing.

I’m tied to school holidays and have been in Feb half term and Oct half term in recent years. I’ve been looking for Feb flights for months and now searching Oct 2020 and Virgin are coming up significantly more expensive than previous trips. We have flown from Manchester and London so I check highs but we fly direct to MCO. Compared to last year and year before Virgin is now seeming out of our budget and that’s for economy.
Have looked at indirect as desperately want to go back but it when we only have a week for half term it doesn’t seem worth it if we missed a connection. |

I'm in the same boat as you for Oct 2020. We want to fly from MAN to MCO however at £7000 for a return economy its just ridiculous!
We have flown with them before from MAN to MCO but in Easter two years ago and for 4 of us it was £1700, now they want £7k! Who pays that? It's making me very cross. We hate Gatwick as we are Yorkshire based and can't make the drive back up North in one go being so tired from the travelling, but we may have to consider that or even BA now. I don't understand how they can charge such a different amount. Our actual return flight is out tomorrow but I can't see one day affecting it that much. Shame. |
