Granite overlays, anyone got them?
Most of my working surfaces are absolutely pristine apart from the area by the sink and hob. I really don't want to replace it all - not to mention affect all the tiles so I'm wondering about this as an alternative.

Sue my sister has put in 5/6 years ago and they look great
Her kitchen was a great lay out and was solidly built hand painted so it was just a change of colour and the overlays Go for the thickest you can get |

We looked at these when we needed new worktops as I had a friend who had them. Aside from the fact that it is hard to do an undermount sink they look just like the real thing. However when we had a quote for both overlay and real thing there was very little difference in price so we went for solid granite as we wanted an undermount sink. We had an upstand rather than tiling so barely noticed the difference on the walls despite the change.
Hope you find what you want.
