Paying for flights in US Dollars on Expedia

I'm playing around with flights and noticed that using Expedia.co.uk the same flights are £510 more expensive for four people than booking in US dollars on Expedia.com or on United's own website.

Are there any disadvantages or problems that may come up by doing this?

Sometimes they add the taxes / fees on later on US websites which can reduce or remove the price difference - if you got to the ‘buy now’ page and it was still cheaper I’d grab it.

We have done this on the United US site and saved a good amount. No issues, e ticket was through quickly. Got a small conversion charge with my debit card but still saved over £500.

Just to update- I went ahead and booked. The price stayed the same at checkout, I got the reference numbers immediately and checked the United site and all looks good. Thrilled with the savings because that price doesn't even come up on the google flight search, only by going to the .com version of Expedia.
