AA seat upgrade cost refunded?
Hi all, we booked our flights with ba holidays and our flights going out are with AA. I upgraded our seats to main cabin extra for both AA flights, HTHR-ORD and ORD-MCO. The second flight got cancelled and we were re-booked onto a later flight with a different flight number which was fine, I requested a manual refunded for the old flight seats and re-booked for the new flight, refund received last week.
There was also a 10 minute schedule change on the first flight but no change in flight number. I received an e-mail on Tuesday advising another refund, equivalent to the amount for the seat upgrades on this flight, had been issued. The money has went back on my cc today but the seats are still showing as booked when I've checked online multiple times since Tuesday. Has anyone had this happen to them? I'd love to keep the money but also want the seats and nervous AA will realise at some point and cancel the seats! What would you do?

there is always the possibility that the plane for your first flight has changed (different cabin configuration) and the seats you had booked on the original aircraft are "free" in the new aircraft
happened to me one on lufthanse, when they changed planes (still same flight number) and I was refunded. just a thought though |

I would tweet AA and confirm. They are really quick at answering through twitter and at least your mind will be put at rest.
