DVC to RCI help please - update post #15
I am close to losing all my 2019 DVC points. I have the option of selling them or putting them into RCI. If I put them into RCI is it 200 DVC = 200 RCI or is it a $ amount? How long do I hav3 to use them? I have no idea how it works! Also, how would I log in to see what is available and the point/$ cost? Are they worth less? Would I be losing out by doing this?
These are my first DVC points as we joined in 2019 and I don’t want to lose them all. Edited at 12:41 AM. |

Do your self a favour first look at RCI I found the accommodations substandard. It is a point for point bases your points will last until December if you move them, if you can sell them off I’d say that’s the better option.

Hi we booked 200 last October and they are 200 RCI points. We have 2 years to use them. We can do 2 weeks in Florida with 200 points but when searching RCI I’m finding we may get more than a week but not as much as we would with Disney. You can search on the DVC website. Login, go to plan a vacation and RCI is an option. That directs you through to the RCI website. Their website I find is worse than Disney’s so be prepared to spend time searching. We would have sold our but there were lots of points sloshing around and some people were struggling so we decided not to chance it and banked to RCI. On a positive note it will force us to go somewhere else for a change 😎
We have been looking at a city break in Washington, San Fran, Vegas or LA

Ah ok, so I only get an extra 5 month to use them then? They expire 31st July.
Are they not Hilton type properties then? I’m sure someone said they booked DLP |

Thank you, I will have look on there.
I was worried that if I put them on David’s that they might just sit there and not sell. I have got 8 night BWV standard view and BCV weekend booked for May and both resorts are sold out of studios so didn’t know whether to try and sell the reservations or the points? I’m experienced at renting but new to owning. Edited at 09:23 PM. |

Take a look first if they were Hilton type I’d be happy I couldn’t find anything that looks good.

I'm pretty sure if you transfer points to RCI they last two years?

This Facebook group is pretty busy but prices are low with US residents in search of 'distressed points'. If you can handle getting $12-15 a point though it might be worth a try.
