Budget and Tollpass feedback Dec 21

We arrived into MCO late on Christmas Day, having flown with Aerlingus ( and jet blue- connecting from JFK to MCO) long day then had to queue for over 2 hours at the budget desk. We had hired via Aer Lingus, and followed a long line of people who were told they didn’t have the car they had booked. I was ready for a fight, even having lost the will to live in the queue twice, however they did have the car we wanted. This is the second time we have used budget, never again. I do hope Alamo get their fleet back in order and I can STC.

The Visitor Tollpass was very easy to use. Visit the vending machine with your QR code, scan it and your pass is dispensed. Note the Wi-Fi is dreadful in MCO so take a screenshot of the QR code.

Then pop ref of the hire car into the visitor toll pass app ( which you have downloaded beforehand and put your card details in) and hang the card before leaving the car parking space. Bish bash job done. On the way back as you leave the car rental drop off you pass the return bins to pop the cards into. So easy even we managed it!

Hope this is helpful 👍

Budget gave me a fantastic car on the 16th- must have got lucky. Had every bell and whistle including sat nav, self driving, power down back seats etc. 7 seater, was a lovely car. Agent was a nice lady who looked and said ‘let me get you the best car’ even though I took no upgrades apart from fuel. It’s was a bargain on the fuel as well, as the invoice said the BA voucher was more than the rental, so I only got charged I think £30 for the full tank. Was pleased with them, but this is the only time I’ve used them. This was the car.
