If you go to manage your booking on BA and select the option to choose your seat it will automatically transfer you to the AA site. Seat bookings are free with AA.

I've tried that but when entering the BA ref number on AA it says it's not recognised.

Edited to add: I looked again on 'manage my booking' and found an AA ref so all done now, thank you

Aer Lingus Reference Location

Just to jump on here I've just found my Aer Lingus reference by logging in to my BA Manage Booking, then clicked on check in. It took me to a screen telling me I'd need to check in on Aer Lingus and gave me the Aer Lingus Ref.

Then gone on to messenger chat with Aer Lingus who have pre booked our seats.

Thank you all for your advise. I finally managed to book my seats. I contacted Aer Lingus by FB Messenger, they found my booking and gave me the booking ref. I could of booked standard seats with them but decided to call them instead, booked the standard seats at the back as I wanted the 2/3/2 config. There was no charge for these seats.
