I have a new white t shirt with a star on, I have a new Christmas jumper for Boxing Day. I get too hot cooking on Christmas Day and end up a hot mess!

When we were children we always dressed up, probably because we always went to stay with grandparents, we never had a Christmas at home so not sure if we would have dressed up if just at home?

As a child it was always Christmas day at grandparents then all aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins etc at one of my aunts/uncles houses for boxing day, so again we would all dress up.

Once this all stopped there was no way I would dress up. We generally don't celebrate Christmas and treat it as just any other day now so in casual normal day to day wear - mainly because we CBA.

We always dressed up as kids, got new outfits and everyone made an effort.

Dh family always dress nice but not quite as glam as my Nan loved sequins and sparkle.

Now I usually put a nice dress on but this year I’m bucking the trend and have bought a sparkly Rolling Stones Christmas T-shirt 😂 so will be wearing that with nice jeans.

Growing up my sister and I always got a new outfit and shoes (we got two outfits bought each year, one for Christmas & one for Easter, my mum made the rest of our clothes). So we would wear our new fancy clothes and shoes on Christmas day even though we never left the house 😂 mum in her best outfit and dad in a shirt & tie.
Even now we dress up for Christmas day, hair done, nice clothes & shoes etc I think it makes the day more special 🤩

I don’t wear anything too fancy. Usually just a dress with tights and boots. I do my hair nice and my makeup too.

We would always get a new outfit when we were kids and mum and dad would dress nice but we always spent Christmas at my grandparents and there were lots of extended family and cousins dropping in all day long.
Now it is just the four of us we go out with the dogs after we have opened presents so it is normally jeans and boots. We drop in to see PIL on the way back so we just leave muddy boots at the door and they are happy to see us as we are. When we get home we all change into Christmas pj's and open the champagne. Its lovely cooking and lounging in comfy clothes.

Just the two of us this year so we will be wearing what we call house trousers - I think technically they are called lounge wear. I can’t be doing with fancy clothes if I’m cooking.

Usually I wear a dress (with new slippers!), and DH will put a shirt on (and black jeans instead of blue!) DD will prob wear a Christmas jumper, and my dad who's 88 will wear a shirt and tie and smart trousers as he always does if eating anywhere other than his own kitchen
I wish I could feel comfy all day in PJs, but I just can't and I just can't imagine cooking dinner in them It's each to their own.
