DS has his on 2nd January and I do struggle with what to get him for his birthday, as generally he would ask for things for Christmas and I’d then have to come up with something he hasn’t thought of! Or if I saved something off his Christmas list for his birthday, he’d have a good idea what he was getting!

Mine is in January and that’s as bad, no one has money to go out, lots of people dieting, it’s cold and miserable and just after Christmas.

Mine is the start of Dec and my parents always made an effort to make sure it was special. Now we go away that week every year as bought a timeshare in Scotland for that week. We love it. Sleeps 8 so can take some family and friends with us. Great way to relax before the chaos of Xmas. My niece’s however is 22nd and we could never celebrate big birthdays like her 21st as everywhere was doing Xmas parties. My mother in law was 23rd and she always refused to celebrate as was too busy organising for Xmas.

My birthday is the 16th, my sisters is the 17th, growing up we used to get one gift to share and it was for our birthday and Christmas. To be fair my mum amd dad were the black sheep and it was family politics at play but still! I'd never dream of saying to someone who has a sister and a summer birthday "here have this one gift, make it last!".

My Birthday is the 28th - I always used to get combined presents. I always get asked what I want to do on the day.. it always used to be soo busy everywhere with sales, cold & wet etc. I would love to have warm weather and low crowds. Even when I've been lucky enough to be in WDW it's always been mega busy.
Merry Christmas

30th, we tend to go away for New Year / Christmas, so it’s become quite a nice little celebration 🍾

But yes when I was younger no one was free to party !

My brother’s is 19th December and mine is 2nd January. Too many joint presents for my liking and don’t get me started on birthday presents wrapped in Christmas paper 😡😡

My DHs is the 21st and even his dad got him a. “Happy birthday and merry Christmas card”. I was livid.

I actually get really disgusted by it, we make effort for everyone else’s birthday, why should s December birthday be any different? The birthday is the same date every year, be more prepared.
