How are new puppy owners getting on

Our labradoodle is 14 weeks old tomorrow and a right bundle of mischief. She had a mad half hour just as DS was packing to go home. Chewing the handle off the log basket in the conservatory and leaping on and off the settee there. It's an old settee but I've put a shower curtain over it now. If she would sit calmly on it I wouldn't mind . After Christmas and New year I'm trying to get the house straight. Roll on lighter mornings and nights. The puppy stage is very trying 🤣
The fact the broken bone in my hand is still healing doesn't help.

It’s been a little while since my puppy days, but it certainly was tiring. For us it was mainly about the house and general command training as pugs are not the quickest to catch on so it took concerted effort. Balanced out with them not being that hyper and fairly well behaved. 😍

This is our 5mth old pup, she's with us as a foster placement but it's for longer than usual as she has some nerve & anxiety issues. The 1st week she was here we couldn't get within a meter of her and she is still very flighty.
She's losing her baby teeth at the moment and chewing like crazy but sleeps well at night.

I have 2 puppies, had molly since she was 8 weeks old, she is now 9 months and we got Ted when he was 8 months old, he's now 11 months... they are fantastic xx
Ted is half ≈≈≈≈zu half Maltese, Molly is half ≈≈≈≈zu half poodle, and she is the crazy one 😜
They play wildly and then sleep 💤 😴
Best thing we did was get Ted, having 2 is brilliant xx

Willow is 7 months old now and we adore her! She’s so well behaved, this is her with her puppicino beard after our very muddy walk yesterday at our local countryside centre. She loves going there because she always gets a puppicino and a sausage after the walk lol 😂

We don't have a new puppy ourselves but we are looking after a puppy for 8 days, we are on day 2.

He's adorable but my goodness I forgot how crazy they are. He's like a little crocodile and wakes through the night 🙈 so cute when he's sleeping though.

Judy. Going off topic. Is that floor tile or vinyl?

If its tiled that's some of the best grout lines I have ever seen.

Oh she’s adorable! Ours is now six and half months, and is getting more mischievous… it certainly is hard work, and requires constant efforts in regards to training etc. Amd cleaning muddy paws constantly!

We give him two good walks each day, around 45 mins with sniffing and chatting, and then we try to play with him to engage his brain, so we hide treats in our hands and make him guess which one etc, and use a Kong, or an antler to chew on.

Best advice we found was Cesar Milan, dogs need exercise, (including mental exercise) discipline (training, not shouting) and then affection, in that order.

We do love him though it is worth all the hard work…
